Privacy Policy.
This page describes, as precisely as we can, how improveyourskills.ch handles data. We wrote it ourselves — it is not legal advice, so please read it through and add to it if needed.
This privacy policy applies to the improveyourskills.ch website.
Controller
The party responsible for data processing on this website is improveyourskills.ch, c/o Claudio Schmid (see legal notice).
What data we collect
Contact form: when you fill out the form on /kontakt, we store your first name, last name, email address and message to answer your request. We also store a checksum (hash) of your IP address to protect against abuse from automated requests — never the IP address itself.
Photos: the images in the gallery come from our trainings. We obtain consent for publication when registering for the training, outside of this website. Anyone who has not consented is not photographed.
Technical logs: as with any web server, our hosting and database providers automatically process technical data (e.g. IP address, time of access) in server logs when the website is accessed. These are used only for security and troubleshooting and are not linked with other data.
Admin access: the organisers sign in via a link sent by email, without a password. This sets a session cookie — see below.
Cookies
We only use strictly necessary cookies, none for advertising or cross-site tracking:
Because we only use strictly necessary cookies and a cookieless analytics tool, we don't show a cookie banner.
Who processes the data
Supabase (database and image storage, data centre in the EU), Vercel (hosting and running the website), Resend (sending emails from the contact form) and Cloudflare (Turnstile spam protection and cookieless Web Analytics) process data solely on our behalf and for the purposes named above — never for their own purposes.
Retention period
Contact-form messages remain stored until one of the organisers deletes them manually — there is currently no automatic deletion period.
Your rights
You can request information about your stored data at any time, as well as its correction, deletion, or restriction of processing. Get in touch using the details in the legal notice. If you believe we are not handling your data correctly, you may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
